Make Sense of What You're Experiencing.

Leaving a coercive controlling relationship is often only the beginning.

You may feel like no one understands what you're trying to say. You know something isn't right, but struggle to explain it in a way that family law professionals recognize. You may even wonder why the court doesn't seem to see what you're experiencing.

The reality is that coercive control can be difficult to recognize, communicate, and navigate within family court proceedings.

Understanding what's happening and why it's happening is often the first step toward making informed decisions about what comes next.

My Approach

My role is not to tell you what decisions to make. My role is to help you understand the systems you're navigating so you can make those decisions with greater clarity and confidence.

By bringing together research, policy, lived experience, and systems thinking, I help individuals step back, make sense of complex situations, organize information, and think strategically about what comes next.

I believe that understanding changes everything. When you understand coercive control, understand the systems you're navigating, and understand the options available to you, you're better equipped to move forward intentionally rather than simply reacting to each new challenge.

“I felt like I was losing my sense of reality, but after engaging with Crystal’s work, everything began to make sense. I began to see that I’m not alone, that there is an explanation for what I experienced, and that there is a way through, and Crystal helped me find it.”
